Wood Types
Western Red Cedar is used for the "The Simple Flute".All the wood used in the construction of Trimble Flutes comes from Rose City Lumber (RCL) in Portland, Oregon. They go out of their way to search out trees that have blown over in wind storms, or trees at the end of their life cycle. They have rescued many logs that are used to make "The Simple Flute". Rose City Lumber is a family run business that provides Trimble Flutes with sustainable, salvaged, and eco-friendly wood. This company is a blessing to work with.

The Simple Flute
The Simple Flute is modeled after the story of the first flute. It is Ideal for beginners who would like to start playing the flute without spending too much. The Simple Flute plays and sounds comparable to the finer flutes. Each flute is signed and dated by the artist, flute maker Isaac Trimble. The Simple Flute is made from Western Red Cedar with a Title Wave "like" Totem.

The Musician Flute
The Musician Flute is special and an honor to make. Extremely beautiful looking, and incredibly powerful sounding. Each flute undergoes many hours of loving craftsmanship. The Musician flute is made of harder woods to preserve its tonality (quality of sound). These concert quality flutes resonate with brilliance and clarity every time they are played. Isaac can sign the flute or you could ask him to put your name it.
Totem head block comes in your choice of wolf, eagle, bear or whale tail to bring out your spiritual or inner animal.

The Double Flute
The Double Flute is one that is not easily forgotten. It is played like The Simple or Musician Flutes but with the added harmonics of a second flute that plays along with you. Unbelievable?! Double flutes are very rarely made in my family, only a few of these will be made each year.The Double Flute has a unique sound that comes from many hours of time and care. It is made of harder woods to preserve its tonality (quality of sound). This concert quality flute resonates with an unbelievable haunting quality and clarity. It is also available with custom "Double Totem" head block.
